Red Line collection – celebrating the power of love and freedom
Red line. A beating heart. The energy that spreads unstoppably. The force that attracts us to each other. Red is the color of transformation, the color of reversal. Tenderness that becomes power. Passion that becomes danger. As we walk the red line - what separates us and what connects us?
The red line is an unbreakable thread that binds us tightly or a sharp cut that separates us forever.
The NINAMILÁN Studio Red Line collection, presented at Belgrade Fashion Week, summarizes all the conflicting meanings of the red line and translates them into fluid cuts, statement hems, bold color combinations, unexpected fabrics, and luxurious monograms.
And isn't it a perfect match for Dragička? 🫰 Slaaaaaay! 🫰
Fashion and makeup collab
This fashion and makeup collab simply had to happen! As a makeup brand for everyone creating art and blurring the gender line, we partnered with NINAMILÁN Studio to support this defiant yet sensual display of dresses, suits, handbags, and accessories during the biggest fashion event of the season at the Balkan region – Belgrade Fashion Week.
NINAMILÁN fashion house is recognized for its impeccably tailored suits. In the Red Line collection, designer Nina Milović erases the boundaries between genders for the first time in her work.
As a designer and creative director, she told us a story about power, sensuality, setting and erasing boundaries, and imposing and breaking the rules through her designs.
Fashion synergy of the artists, powers, and voices
These driving themes are also why the rapper and musician Sajsi MC walked the catwalk. As someone who often explores sexuality, feminism, and other socio-political topics in her work as a performer and songwriter, Sajsi MC, who was also a EuroPride Godmother in 2022., "crossed the red line" in a unisex suit down the catwalk and (we are sure) for the umpteenth time!
With the same motive, and – a bombshell warning! - for the first time in the history of Belgrade Fashion Week, a transgender drag artist appeared as a model, wearing the final creation at the NINAMILÁN Studio fashion show. 💃
As a special surprise, she wore a fiery red cape gown, with a quilted monogram pattern, which combined an evening silhouette with outerwear function, giving the entire collection a touch of drama. And that's what we all crave, honey!
Alex Elektra was declared Queen of Belgrade Pride in 2017, and for years, she has been performing in front of audiences in Belgrade and many European capitals. With her creative and edgy outfits, outstanding talent, fabulous makeup looks (get on her Insta!), and spectacular death drops, Alex Elektra is erasing the boundaries of the binary, breaking gender prejudices, and changing societal stereotypes – all through her performance art.
Collab - Makeup of confidence and defiance
Of course, with such a magnificent opportunity, all Dragička reds were in the spotlight! Matte liquid lipsticks for a perfect no-transfer lip, 2-in-1 Lipsync Tool for an ideal pencil-lipstick match, Edging Lipliner for creamy precision, eyeshadow pigments for daring red, and our color-corner eyelashes – to add a bit more flare to the "Red Line" theme.
Of course, all other Dragička essentials were switching the hands of some of the best MUAs backstage, partnering with them to achieve the magic of this fashion show precedent. And finally, our UpSetting fixator spray, locked in every makeup look into a catwalk perfection!
Now join us backstage and take a sneak peek at the creation of the Red Line collection! ⬇️
We were ecstatic to support Nina and her brave, uncompromising, and daring design work. We're confident that she'll keep changing the mainstream fashion scene and we thank her for the opportunity to push the boundaries of expected and possible further - once again. 💜
Follow the trail of the red line that guides you between meanings, rules, and all possible worlds. Draw parallels. Put them together. Intertwine them. Dare to take the red line😉, and –
Keep shining bright!
